Those rolling hills in the west are named The Emerald Hills, home to many Wood Elves and Sylvan creatures such as the particularly sadistic ‘Puck’ (a bulky humanoid with goat horns and cloven feet), scattered tribes of Hobgoblins and Goblins, but also wolves, bears and smaller game, providing ample meat for the inhabitants.

OVERVIEW
The Halls of Taurthos is a game I've wanted to make since I was seventeen, and have had to wait until I'm fifty-four to make a reality. It's my homage to the concept I had back in Computer Science at Sixth Form and then the ongoing outpouring of ideas that I've had and developed (often subconciously) through my experience of playing computer games for over forty years. I can see the influences come through as I've made the game. From leaning over the shoulders of a huddled crowd gathering around the Metalwork teacher's Spectrum at lunchtime - absolutely marvelling at the glowing figures and shapes of Attik Attack, Manic Miner and Tir Na Nog. Or, being lucky enough to borrow a friend's ZX81 and being utterly immersed in the ASCII-based world of Catacombs.
